Build an Army Tier List Hub
Rank spending patterns and rarity bands, not a copied shop table from a different Roblox army game.
Build an Army by LiveForFun does not ship a public named roster with damage numbers, so this hub does not pretend to rank Swordsman-versus-Archer tables from other Roblox army games. We rank play patterns and rarity bands: what you buy in the barracks, whether you upgrade damage before you spam extra bodies, and whether the lineup you leave behind still earns after you quit.
Use the unit tier list for the S–D bands, then the best army comps page for early, mid, and offline spending plans. The units hub explains infantry, rare, and legendary bands in roster language. The barracks guide is the shop walkthrough that feeds every rank on this list.
Ranking criteria we actually use
Three numbers matter on a 4-player server, and none of them are invented DPS:
- Survival distance. Deploy starts a march. Cash scales with how far the column walks before it wipes. A pattern that dies on the first sergeant pack is a bad pattern even if the plot looks crowded.
- Cash per run. Undeploy banks the walk. A slower, upgraded core that actually clears ambushes usually prints more than a blob of unupgraded infantry that melts in ten seconds.
- Offline leftover value. The official description is blunt: the army keeps fighting and paying while you are away. A list that only works if you babysit every stud is a worse list than one that still crawls after you log out.
If a purchase does not move one of those three, it is flavor, not rank. That rule is why a pile of extra unupgraded bodies sits in B, and why tapping Nuke with no farm sits in C.
What LiveForFun has published
The Roblox page is short. You recruit from the barracks. You survive ambushes, earn money, and upgrade troops. Later you unlock rare and legendary units, each with unique abilities. That is the whole official rarity ladder. There is no developer blog posting HP, range, or a complete shop table.
Footage of early marches shows a starter infantry soldier, enemy sergeants that melt an unupgraded body, and a volcano landmark much farther down the lane. Damage upgrades, not extra weak copies, are what let that first soldier start winning trades. We treat those as observed play, not as a leaked stat sheet.
S–D snapshot
- S. Damage-upgraded core infantry that can actually clear sergeant packs, and later legendary unique-ability units once they unlock.
- A. Rare barracks options as soon as they survive farther than your current infantry.
- B. Extra un-upgraded bodies bought as soak, not as a damage plan.
- C. Ignoring upgrades, or dumping cash on the Nuke gamepass without an income farm.
- D. Marching a single unupgraded infantry into sergeant packs and hoping.
The unit tier list expands each band with the same criteria. Do not paste Make a Army or Build ur Army prices into this wiki; those shops belong to different places.
How to read this hub on a live server
Build an Army launched on 7 August 2025 as a free simulation tycoon. Servers hold four players. Your plot is yours; the lane in front of you is the economy. Rank a purchase by the next march, not by how busy the barracks UI looks.
If you just joined, skim getting started so you can find Deploy, Undeploy, and the barracks before you spend. Then come back here and pick a band, not a fantasy unit name. When a rare finally appears in the shop, jump to rare and legendary units and test it on one march before you rewrite your personal S-band.
What this list will never do
We will not invent DPS. We will not copy another game’s Witch or Archer row and relabel it. We will not tell anyone a Robux pass is required to play. When LiveForFun actually publishes names and numbers, this hub will move from pattern ranks to named ranks. Until then, honesty beats a fake table.
If a YouTuber flashes a one-time pack with a vehicle or extra troop types, treat that as a shop moment, not as a permanent official roster. Rank the pattern (did distance go up?) instead of memorizing a name that may not even sit in the barracks tomorrow.
Open the unit tier list first so the S–D labels have examples, then lock a spending order on best army comps before you tap Deploy again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does Build an Army have an official named unit tier list?
No. LiveForFun has not published a full named roster with stats. This hub ranks play patterns and rarity bands. See the unit tier list for the S–D breakdown.
What makes a unit or purchase S-tier here?
It has to raise survival distance, cash per run, or leftover offline value. Damage-upgraded infantry that clears sergeants belongs in S. A crowd of unupgraded bodies does not.
Should I copy troop tables from Make a Army or Build ur Army?
No. Those are different Roblox games with different shops. This wiki only covers LiveForFun's Build an Army (place 76904351006435).
Where do I spend after I understand the ranks?
Follow the best army comps spending plans, then buy from the barracks guide in that order.
Do gamepasses change the tier list?
They change account power, not the ranking method. Nuke is optional pay-to-skip. Dumping it with no farm is a C-tier pattern.
