The Build an Army loop

Shop, place, Deploy, march, cash, upgrade, Undeploy — then do it again.

How to Play

Build an Army is a lane-march tycoon, not a capture-point war and not a gacha banner with a fake world-war timeline. LiveForFun’s loop, running since 7 August 2025 on free four-player Roblox servers, is: shop in the barracks, place troops, Deploy, let the army march, collect cash from distance and combat, upgrade, and repeat. Undeploy exists so the march is a controlled send, not a one-way suicide.

If you have not survived the first sergeant, start on Getting Started instead. This page assumes you can find the barracks and have bought the starter infantry soldier at least once.

Shop in the barracks

Every run starts at the shop. The barracks is where infantry, later stock, and damage upgrades live. You do not unlock a separate “war” map by walking far enough in the lobby; you buy a line, send it, and spend what the lane pays.

Open the barracks before Deploy. Buying after a wipe is obvious. Buying before a wipe, while you still have a living line, is how you actually snowball. Spend order is its own article: the Barracks Guide. The short version for this loop is still the early-game truth from footage — damage first, extra bodies second.

Do not pause the loop to hunt promo codes. There are no widely confirmed public codes for this title as of September 2026. The Codes hub exists so that sentence has a place to live.

Place troops

Purchase is not presence. After you buy, place the troops into your army so they exist on the field. Exact click-to-place chrome can shift with patches; we are not going to pretend we have a pixel-perfect HUD atlas. What does not shift is the rule: unplaced stock does not march.

Place a coherent line, not a decorative crowd. Early sergeants punish wide, weak infantry more than they punish a smaller line with a damage tick. When rare and legendary units with unique abilities finally appear, placing them on a dead lane is still a waste — they have to be present and deployed. Roster growth is covered in How to Unlock Units.

Deploy and march

Deploy is the send. The army marches a lane, fights ambushes, and pushes toward later landmarks. One of those later landmarks is a volcano-looking region. You should not expect it on the first 30 seconds of a brand-new infantry line.

Watch distance. This is not flavor. Distance and combat are how cash shows up. If the line dies immediately, you earned a lesson and almost no money. If the line lives, let it walk. Do not Undeploy in panic at the first shot unless you are specifically resetting a doomed send.

Other players can be on the same four-person server. Play your lane. The official description is PvE march language — recruit, fight, ambush, conquer — not a promise that you can loot a neighbor.

Cash, upgrade, repeat

When the march pays, go back to the barracks. The upgrade is the point of the game. Official copy says fight, earn money, and upgrade your troops every battle. That is the loop written in marketing language.

The upgrade is usually damage in the early hours. Later it is whatever new stock the barracks is actually willing to sell you because you pushed farther. We will not fill that later list with names from other army games. Use the Tier List and Players for ranking talk that stays inside this title.

If cash feels stuck, you are probably buying duplicate weak infantry, dying to sergeants, and repeating. Break that with How to Earn Money rather than with Nuke! at 7,214 Robux. Sprint Permanent is offsale and will not repair a lane.

Undeploy without throwing the run

Undeploy is real. It is how you pull a send back instead of leaving a doomed line to finish dying for no extra distance. Use it when the march has paid, when you need to restock, or when you can see the next ambush will wipe a still-valuable army.

Do not Undeploy as a nervous tick every five seconds. The lane pays for walking. Pulling back to stare at the shop earns a screenshot, not cash. Pulling back after a good distance, spending, and Deploying again is the adult version of the loop.

Camera and HUD placement for these buttons are on Controls. If a label moved after a patch, trust the on-screen text.

A sample ten-minute loop

Minute 0: barracks, confirm infantry is placed, buy a damage tick if you can afford it. Minute 1: Deploy and watch the first contact. Minutes 2–6: let a living line walk; do not alt-tab into a different Roblox army game’s code list. Minutes 6–8: if they are still up, Undeploy after a paying stretch or let them push if the lane is clean. Minutes 8–10: spend, replace losses, Deploy again.

Before you close Roblox, leave that living line deployed if you want offline earnings. A ten-minute loop that ends on a wipe is a zero for the next six hours you are away.

Client-side shortcuts that skip this loop are a Scripts topic, not a strategy. Patch requests belong on the LiveForFun group wall, with the Updates hub as the readable log.

A sample ten-minute loop is not a speedrun. It is shop, place, deploy, watch the first sergeant, spend the cash, undeploy only when the march is paying, and refuse to restart the lane until the new damage tick is bought.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the core loop in Build an Army?

Shop in the barracks, place troops, Deploy to march a lane, earn from distance and combat, upgrade, and repeat. Getting Started covers the first pass.

What does Undeploy do?

It pulls a send back so you can restock or avoid a wipe. The lane still needs marching time to pay. Button notes are on Controls.

When do I reach the volcano-looking area?

Later in a march, not in the first seconds of a new infantry line. Push with upgrades from the Barracks Guide rather than treating it as a spawn landmark.

Is this the same loop as Build ur Army or Command an Army?

No. Those games have different shops and win conditions. This wiki only documents LiveForFun place 76904351006435.

Should I stay deployed while I shop?

If the line is alive and paying, let it walk. Undeploy when you must restock or you can see a wipe coming. Income details are in How to Earn Money.

Does the loop change when rare units appear?

The send is the same: place, Deploy, march, spend. The shop stock changes as you push. Read How to Unlock Units.
